Harry Potter (July 31st 1980-present) is a hero whose destiny is to vanquish the evil Lord Voldemort, who has been trying to murder Harry since he was a baby.
A member of Gryffindor House, Harry has always shown relentless bravery, courage, and ability to love, often thrusting himself into life-threatening situations to protect others. He usually escapes because of his quick thinking, and later calls it 'luck'. While he may be a powerful wizard, he is still a teenager and encounters typical teenage problems - mainly with the same sex. He tends to be stubborn and moody with a dry sense of humor.
His parents, Lily Evans Potter and James Potter, were killed protecting him when Lord Voldemort came searching for the one year old Harry. When Voldemort attempted to kill Harry, his mother's sacrifice forced the curse to rebound upon Voldemort, ripping him from his body and nearly killing him. After his parents' deaths, he lived with his Muggle relatives, the Dursleys: his Aunt Petunia (his mother's older sister), Uncle Vernon, and cousin Dudley. The Dursleys hated Harry and made him live in a cupboard under the stairs while concealing his true heritage from him.
Harry began receiving letters from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry at age eleven. His aunt and uncle tried to keep the truth from him, but finally a half-giant man named Hagrid personally delivered Harry's letter and told him that he was a wizard. Harry began attending Hogwarts and became best friends with Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. Together, the three of them usually can tackle just about anything, due to the fact that they compliment each other in abilities and tendencies.

Tried reading the first Harry Potter book when he was 8 years old, but was unable t
o finish it. Finally read the entire book when he was cast in the lead role of the filmHas never actually seen the film The Tailor of Panama(2001) in which he appeared.
His favorite book from the Harry Potter series so far is number three, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban.
In February 2002, he was nominated for, and won "Best Newcomer" at the Variety Club Award ceremonies.

Has stated that12 Angry Men (1957) is the first black & white film he ever saw and is also his favorite film.

David Heyman, the producer for the Harry Potter films happened to be at a play that both Dan and Dan's father, Alan Radcliffe, were at. After Heyman spotted Radcliffe, since both men knew each other, he was introduced to his son and when Heyman saw Daniel he thought he looked perfect for the part. In fact, that night at the play, Heyman couldn't help just staring at Dan because he though he was perfect to play Harry. Daniel auditioned for, and got the part that he is now most recognized for, Harry Potter.
He enjoys listening to the music ofBlur, Muse, The Music, 'Zwan' andBrendan Benson.
A February 23, 2004 article in British newspaper 'The Sun' listed him as Britain's third richest teenager behind onlyPrine Harry Windsor and Charlotte Church. He is said to be worth 5 million pounds.

Delays between filming the second and third Harry Potter movies were caused because his parents wanted him to be able to attend normal school for a while.
Says he doesn't read any articles or reviews about himself or his movies.
He supports Demelza House Children's Hospice, which is a charity that cares for terminally-ill children in the Kent, East Sussex and South London areas of Britain. Dan always asks his fans to donate to the charity every Christmas and on his birthday instead of sending him gifts. In the book, 'Harry Potter and the Half- Blood Prince', the author 'JK Rowling' named the character Demelza Robins after the charity.
He likes the music of The Strokes, The Clash and The Pixies.

Named Britain's richest teenager with an astounding 23 million pound fortune, after he signed on a 8 million pound deal to make the fifth movie of the Harry Potter series.
Dan scared the make-up department crew when he came on set with bloodied sticking plasters on his face claiming that he had been fighting the previous day (just for a laugh).
His parents are Alan Radcliffe, a literary agent, and Marcia Gresham, a casting director.

Before working with Brendan Gleeson in the Harry Potter series, he worked with him in The Tailor of Panama (2001).
23 July 2007 - Appeared on BBC Radio's Test Match Special, from Lords, London, on the final day of the England v. India test match. It was his 18th birthday and he was a guest on "View from the Boundary" hosted by Jonathan Agnew, the BBC's cricket correspondent. He talked about his career to date and love of cricket.

Bellatrix Lestrange Helena Bonham Carter
Lord Voldemort's most loyal and pure evil Death Eater, Bellatrix Lestrange is one of the main antagonists of the Harry Potter series. She is pure evil, and believes in a pure blooded wizarding race, much like her master. She's married to Rodolphus Lestrange, who along with his brother Rabastan, is a Death Eater. Despite this, she has been in love with Lord Voldemort, only marrying Rodolphus so that she remains loyal to the pureblood way. Sickeningly sarcastic and sadistic, she shows no remorse for anything that she does, even killing fellow pureblood and cousin Sirius Black. She finds torturing her victims before killing to be the most satisfying. She is also the sister of Andromeda Tonks and Narcissa Malfoy, making her the aunt of Nymphadora Tonks and Draco Malfoy. Bellatrix Lestrange is also one of the Death Eaters who participated in the torture of Frank and Alice Longbottom, Neville Longbottom's parents, by used of the Cruciatus Curse.
